Happy New Year!

NRS residents ended 2023 with a productive general membership meeting in November, followed by a wonderful snow party at Lakeside Park in December.  Families thoroughly enjoyed playing in the snow, meeting Santa and feasting on food and treats throughout the festive evening planned by Dave Weston.

The 2024 NRSPOA Board of Directors determined officers at the January meeting.  The are: Kathryn Kaidy, president; Rich Moulton, vice president/deed restrictions; Julie Angello, secretary; Jim Rizzolo, Treasurer; Dave Weston, social chair/parks/boat ramp; Brent Graeser, website; Tim Newton, Erin Jenkins, and Jon Brown, board members at-large.

There are some big plans for 2024!  Improvements to the boat ramp and dockage will start taking form, while several social events will be scheduled – an Easter event; fishing tournament; golf event; and possibly a pickle ball event.  Lots of fun to be had while meeting new and old neighbors!  On a serious note, there will also be attention drawn to our neighborhood drainage problems with plans to work with the county to address the issue.

With all that will be happening this year, the board invites any POA member interested in any of the above – social events, boat ramp improvements, or neighborhood storm drainage – to reach out and participate in one or more of these committees.

As always, the board is working to keep North River Shores the neighborhood we all love.  Our low POA fees and minimal restrictions ensure that ours is a waterfront community to be enjoyed by all property owners – good-sized lots with space between to allow everyone a peek at the water as we walk and ride around our beautiful neighborhood.

Stay tuned for more updates – watch for signs! There will be more to report in The Scoop next quarter!

Again, Happy New Year!
